OGDEN, Utah, May 2006 – Setpoint Systems Inc. today announced the completion of a merger with AutoPack LLC. The agreement brings together two Utah-based automation equipment manufacturers with combined annual revenue of $17 million.
“Coming together just made sense,” said Setpoint Companies President Joe Cornwell. “We see this as a natural extension of our business.”
Aside from the primary business of producing industrial automation systems, Setpoint now has five related businesses under its management — Setpoint Inc. produces amusement park roller coasters, Setpoint Spectrometers does high-tech element testing, Rocky Mountain Testing Solutions is an environmental testing lab, Leanwerks is a precision machining and tooling business, and AutoPack manufactures product feeding and packaging equipment for the nutritional and personal care industries.
“We are excited to be associated with an innovative company like Setpoint,” said AutoPack President Craig Tew. “This merger will increase our capacity to serve our customers.”
Setpoint has been providing manufacturing solutions since 1992 to industry leaders such as Honeywell, Kimberly-Clark and Autoliv. It has been featured in Inc. Magazine and Utah Business Magazine and made the list of Utah’s 100 fastest growing private companies four times.
Since 2001, AutoPack has provided automated vitamin packaging systems and lip balm production equipment to GNC, USANA and Cornerstone Nutritional Laboratories.
