Ogden, Utah, February 2008 – Setpoint Systems, an automation integration firm, announced a new offering for manufacturing companies considering automation.
Recently Setpoint started providing feasibility studies to customers, researching possible automation solutions. A report is provided that evaluates automation options, risk mitigation scenarios, and implementation strategies.
Setpoint launched this new service to enhance and benefit the experience of manufacturing companies whose challenges have gone unaddressed. This new and innovative approach offers solutions to companies who are putting together a scope of work by providing evaluations and recommendations on different lean automation solutions available to a process or problem.
The primary goal is to make automation decisions as easy as possible for manufacturers. Setpoint can provide assessments that range from an analysis of automating one process to updating outdated equipment throughout a manufacturing facility. Recommendations may also range from phased approaches for a beginning point to a full automation solution for more mature processes.
“Years of interaction with customers indicate that this is an area of opportunity where resources are inadequate because they are busy dealing with day to day operations. By providing feasibility studies to our customers we are filling this gap, researching different processes to see if they will work for the customers’ specific product, then providing them with this data so they can make a decision” says Clark Carlile, VP of Sales & Marketing.
