Ogden, Utah, May 2007 – Joe Knight the CFO at Setpoint Systems, Inc., a manufacturing automation firm, spoke Thursday night at the Lean Manufacturing Training Program being sponsored by the Northern Utah Manufacturing Alliance (NUMA).
During the Operations Manager segment Joe spoke about understanding financial statements and how to read them so that they can better understand how they affect their company.
Joe regularly speaks to managers and executives across the country about finance and business to provide a solid foundation from which they can manage. When asked about why this is important Joe stated, “Since all employees must do more than just their job in today’s business environment, everyone must understand how businesses measure success and how they make an impact.”
Joe Knight is a co-owner and senior consultant with the Business Literacy Institute, as well as a finance and business literacy trainer. He is a keynote speaker who teaches finance courses to managers and executives in large and small companies, nonprofits and universities. Joe is a co-author of Financial Intelligence, A Manager’s Guide to Knowing What the Numbers Mean, published by Harvard Business School Press.
